OUR STORY

Premier Spike was created by one of, if not the most experienced roundnet tournament director of our sport, Taylor Sanford. He was tired of replacing broken rims every tournament, his players complaining about crooked nets. He realized that the quality of the current equipment on the market didn’t match the amount of time and effort that players put into roundnet.

Partnering with fellow spiker and engineer, Adam Calder, these two spent all of 2022 prototyping and testing various designs, dedicated to finding one that met their high standards. At the start of 2023, we sent out dozens of 3D printed prototypes giving the world a feel for what Premier Spike™ was all about, and later that Summer we had the real sets shipped out all over the world!

One of our missions for Premier Spike was to better support roundnet athletes and organizations throughout the world. And wouldn’t you know it, but the best of the best decided they wanted to be a part of Team Premier Spike™!

The Best Roundnet Set on the planet!!

This is written from the perspective of a tournament director. Everything is better than any other Roudnet set! Start with storage, with the legs all off, the sets pack away with a smooth stack, no folded legs to get in the way, and sets getting caught on other set nets. They just store and transport much easier. No more broken sets during a tournament! These are the toughest out there! The net, once tightens to the proper tension stays put. This means more consistent net tension! This is so much better to play on! No more adjusting the net after every play, this thing stays put! I no longer have to worry about broken rims and having to get so many replacement rim pieces every year! On any other set the net tension is very hard to get even, and the net loosens over time, and every time you replace a rim you have to adjust again! With Premier Spike you get the best of everything! You must make the switch with your club!!

A definite improvement for the sport.

Took some time to get used to a slightly heavy weight, but now I’m a believer. Played a tournament this weekend where the temperatures were changing and the balls never deflated or inflated throughout the day the consistency was super nice. I wasn’t spending time chasing down “good balls” or messing with the pump periodically during the game. This tournament was also very very windy, and I think if different equipment was used, it may have been pretty miserable for all the players and many of us traveled a long ways. The balls definitely weren’t as affected by the strong winds. I don’t notice much of a difference in serving capability, you can generate a lot of spin and speed. Personally I don’t think my cut and reverse changed much. Cons- I think my arm is a little more sore the day after. I think I’ll get used to that overtime though.
